“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
— Psalm 34:19 (NKJV)
There are moments in life when everything humanly possible screams, “It’s over.” When every diagnosis, every scan, every spoken word of man echoes death. When your body lies still—lifeless to the natural eye—and the machines become your only sign of survival. That was my reality. I should not be here. But despite the wreckage… God did.
I was in a car accident so devastating, people assumed I wouldn’t make it through the night. The impact was fatal—or at least, that’s what the doctors said. I slipped into a coma, one that lasted a month and a half. Surgeries stacked. Pneumonia took over. And at one point, death was literally spoken over me by medical professionals. The world had given up.
But in spite of the coma… God did.
Here’s the thing: they could see my body, but they didn’t know my story. They didn’t know who was fighting for me in the spirit. While I lay unconscious, heaven wasn’t silent. All across the globe, people were praying—lifting up cries of faith, speaking life into my bones, declaring healing over what man called hopeless. My name was on altars, in prayer closets, in midnight intercessions. God heard them all.
And in spite of the doctors’ reports… God did.
He didn’t just pull me out of a coma. He raised me from a bed of affliction with purpose running through my veins. He didn’t just let me survive—He made me stronger. Every scar is a testimony. Every breath I take is proof that when man says “no,” God still says “YES.” My lungs breathe because of Him. My legs walk because of Him. My heart beats because of His hand on my life.
Let me tell you: when God still has a purpose for your life, no crash, no coma, no diagnosis, no death sentence can override His will. He specializes in impossible cases. He speaks of resurrection where others speak finality.
So today, whatever you’re facing—maybe it’s not a car accident, but it feels like a collision of hope in your soul—I want you to know:
In spite of the setback,
In spite of the sickness,
In spite of the silence,
In spite of the statistics,
In spite of what it looks like—God can, and God will.
Because in spite of everything that tried to take me out… God did!

Reflection:
What has the enemy tried to use to write you off—and how might God be inviting you to believe that, in spite of it all, He still has the final say?
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for being the God who moves in spite of. When the odds are stacked, You are still faithful. When the world gives up, You step in. Thank You for healing, for restoring, for breathing life where death once tried to settle. Use every scar for Your glory. May this testimony awaken faith in others to believe again.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
