Day 7- Stay

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.” — Ephesians 3:18 (NLT)

The Secret Place is more than a shelter; it is the essence of God’s love surrounding us. Love anchors every invitation we’ve explored in this series: to reside under His shadow, declare Him our refuge, rely on His protection, and remain in His presence. Without His love, the Secret Place would be nothing more than a hiding spot. With His love, it becomes an everlasting home.

God’s love is not fragile, uncertain, or conditional. It is steady, immeasurable, and eternal. Paul prayed that believers would grasp the vastness of this love—the height, depth, width, and length of it—because once we do, we live differently:

“Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” — Ephesians 3:17–19 (NLT)

Think about this: the God who spoke the galaxies into existence also chose you. He knows you fully, your flaws, your history, your doubts—and still loves you without limits. That love covers your past, anchors your present, and secures your future. When we truly understand this truth, the Secret Place transforms from a crisis refuge into a cherished, permanent home.

Looking Back

Last year brought my family challenge after challenge, one of them being my daughter’s unexpected surgery, which I shared about previously. One particular morning, I felt overwhelmed, burdened by worries and unanswerable questions. In that stillness, I whispered a simple prayer: “Lord, I just need to know You’re here.” A gentle reminder rose in my spirit: “You are Mine, and I’ve got you.”

The weight I carried immediately felt lighter, not because my circumstances changed, but because I knew I wasn’t alone. That quiet encounter revealed God’s love as alive, personal, and constant, not distant or abstract. Once embraced by it, my heart longed to remain there forever.

That same love is available to you right now. Whatever burdens you’re carrying, whether questions you can’t answer or problems you can’t fix, God’s presence is not far away. He longs to meet you in the middle of your storm and whisper that you are His and that He’s got you too. Lean into Him today. Let His covering steady your heart and remind you that you are never alone, no matter what you’re facing. And when peace comes, don’t move on—stay with Him.

Today’s Invitation

The Secret Place is not meant to be visited but to be a permenant home. Pause today and let this truth sink in: I am loved beyond measure. Do not rush past it. Let His love steady your heart, silence your fears, and remind you that nothing can separate you from Him.

Closing Thoughts

Through these seven days, we’ve seen the Secret Place as the refuge, covering, peace, and love. It is more than a shelter—it is home. As you go forward, remember: don’t just visit His presence; stay. Stay rooted in His Word, anchored in His love, and confident in His promises. In Him, you will always find life beyond measure.

Let’s Reflect

  • When was the first time you truly experienced God’s love for yourself?
  • What distractions or lesser loves tempt you to leave His presence?
  • How would your daily choices look different if you lived fully aware of His love?

Let’s Pray

Father, thank You for the amazing depth of Your love—so wide, so deep, and so unshakable. Help me not only to know it in my mind but to grasp it in my heart. Teach me to remain in Your presence, where Your love steadies my soul and fills me with peace. May my heart never wander from the truth that I am loved beyond measure.

Amen.
